We really appreciate all donations and are especially thankful for donations by standing order as these ensure we can commit a regular amount each month to cover the running costs of Double Joy.

Friends of Double Joy would like to say to all our donors...

GIFT AID

UK taxpayers can claim Gift Aid on any donations, enabling us to claim 25p (for every £1) from the Inland Revenue, making your contribution even more valuable.

Gift Aid is a life saver!

We are, quite naturally, big fans of Gift Aid, and the benefits it brings to chariities like Friends of Double Joy

We fund a school and home for 90 children orphaned by Aids in one of the poorest regions of Kenya.

These children are one of the most disadvantaged, marginalised groups you could think of. If they survive the loss of both parents they are condemned to a life of poverty, abuse, discrimination and even slavery.

We are committed to sending a regular £6000 per month to keep the home and school running. Gift aid accounts for 15% of our income and we couldn’t manage without it.  What a wonderful use of ax payer’s money to fast track funds to one of the most poverty stricken parts of the globe and one its most vulnerable groups of people. We are a small charity with no paid staff, so less than 1% of money donated goes on our running costs. This represents truly wonderful value for money.

Signing a Gift Aid Declaration Form is a tremendous way to increase the potency of your donations in a really worthwhile way that UK taxpayers can be proud of.

To apply for Gift Aid, download the PDF form by clicking on the 'giftaid it' logo below, complete the form and post it to Chrissie Hinde.
