The staff at Double Joy

We are the biggest employer in our area and currently employ 35 staff from the local community. This in turn helps the families in our local area.

Ten teachers work in the school, and a manager oversees the day-to-day running of Double Joy. 

We employ six house parents, who supervise the children in their daily tasks. We have an accounts clerk, a correspondence assistant, and two staff who look after the animals and plants. We also have 3 watchmen, a store keeper, a woodwork instructor, a tailoring instructor, a bicycle repair instructor, a cook, a laundry assistant, a nurse and a ward orderly. In addition there are two journey assistants, and a field officer who liaises with our contacts in the community including the children’s relatives.
