Spiritual life

An African child is naturally very spiritual, religion being part of African culture before the arrival of the Christian missionaries. This natural faith now finds its fulfilment in active and enjoyable forms of Christianity which are widely embraced in Africa today.

A group of kids outside the church

Our children attend local churches on Sunday. All our children belong to either the Catholic or the Anglican Church. We allow them to chose which church they attend. The church is a popular meeting place for the local people and can be the social highlight of the week. People wear their best clothes and treat it as a special occasion. Churches get packed so it’s good to arrive early to get a seat.

The children also say prayers and sing choruses together at morning and evening assembly.
