Funding and support

Florence Oyola (Double Joy Correspondent) says:
The support you have put in is helping in education, shelter, clothing and so many basic needs. In Kenya education is very important and without it one can be termed ‘naked’.

Double Joy is supported almost entirely by overseas donations. Mary has made links with supporters and donors in the UK and America. Providing a home for 90 children demands a regular flow of donations. Thanks to the generosity of donors so far, Double Joy has grown considerably since its humble beginnings in 1994.

Our supporters in the UK have set up a charity called FODJ (Friends of Double Joy), registration number 1087172. FODJ has strong ties with Lancaster, and most of its trustees are based here. The main office is in Sheffield, and there is also a base in St Albans.

FODJ aims to keep its administration costs to the absolute minimum and currently spends a maximum of 3% of its income on administration. Please support us to help Double Joy carry on its work.
